We acquired this underutilized property in the summer of 2011. Green building practices were central to our construction plans, and 3339 Division was awarded LEED Platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. In designing 3339 Division, we paid special attention to creating public spaces on the ground level that interact with the neighborhood. This includes a public courtyard, attractive stormwater management installations, space on the sidewalks for café seating and pedestrians, and appealing ground-floor retail. The building is a mixed-use development designed with an emphasis on openness and quality light in every unit. The four-story building houses 31 beautifully appointed, compact studio and one-bedroom apartments. Four of the apartments are garden-level, and there are also four micro-offices designed specifically for small businesses that require only 500 square feet of office space. This bike- and pedestrian-friendly building is located along major bike and transit corridors, with plenty of neighborhood amenities, including numerous restaurants.
