We acquired the historic Fairmount Apartments through an off-market transaction. When the previous owners purchased the property, they initially planned to renovate it but soon realized that the scope of work was larger and more complex than anticipated. They were highly interested in finding a developer capable of restoring this former hotel to its "original" state. The Fairmount was originally built in 1904 for the Lewis & Clark Exposition. We preserved the historic charm of the Fairmount’s exterior while completely overhauling and modernizing the property with new plumbing and electrical systems, a new roof, attractive landscaping, and full apartment renovations. The renovated Fairmount Apartments feature 80 well-appointed and beautifully restored residences, showcasing reclaimed wood elements, high ceilings, abundant natural light, tiled bathrooms, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances. Located in one of Portland's most established and desirable neighborhoods, the Fairmount is just a short walk or bike ride from numerous restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, and grocery outlets. The property is also well-served by public transit. Additionally, the Fairmount is listed as a National Historic Landmark.
